How to Connect USB-C to a KTC Monitor

Using USB-C on a KTC display may depend on whether the cable is carrying video, power, or both video and data. Check the parts that match your setup. If these steps do not fit your screen, use the model links below for exact instructions.

What to check

Check whether USB-C is carrying video

Some monitors use USB-C as a direct video input from a laptop, tablet, or phone.

Check this:

  1. Connect a USB-C cable between the source device and the display.
  2. Turn on both devices if needed.
  3. Select Type-C or the matching input if the screen does not switch automatically.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the picture to appear.

Not every USB-C cable supports video, so a charge-only cable may not work.

Check whether USB-C is being used for power

Portable displays and some other products use USB-C mainly to receive power.

Check this:

  1. Check which USB-C port is meant for power.
  2. Use a charger or source device that can supply enough power.
  3. Connect the cable fully.
  4. Wait for the display to power on or begin charging.

If the screen keeps turning off, the power source may be too weak.

Check whether one cable is handling video and data

Some models combine video, charging, USB data, or KVM behavior through one USB-C path.

Check this:

  1. Connect the supported USB-C port on the source device to the monitor.
  2. Select the correct USB-C or Type-C input if needed.
  3. Wait for the display, data, or charging functions to appear.
  4. Test without docks or adapters first if something is missing.

A successful one-cable setup depends on the source device, the cable, and the monitor all supporting the same functions.

If the steps above do not match your screen

Before going to the model list, try these quick checks:

  • confirm that your cable supports the function you need
  • check whether the product has more than one USB-C port with different roles
  • remove adapters or hubs for the first test
  • compare the result with HDMI or DP if the picture does not appear
